About Terry Sheehan
Terry has spent 22 years in public service at the municipal, provincial and federal levels of government.
Before being elected to the House of Commons, Terry served nearly 20 years as a City Councillor and a School Board Trustee. He has worked in both the private and public sectors in business, community, and economic development. An accomplished business professional, he is well known for his tireless work ethic and ability to achieve real results for his community.
MP Sheehan has been invested in the economic health of the riding and country. His strong business background allows him to spot opportunities for the economic success and job growth that will strengthen and grow his community. Through his work, MP Sheehan has developed strong relationships with both the business community and local labour groups, as he believes it is important to work constructively and inclusively with all. He continues to work on building a strong partnership between the federal government and Sault Ste. Marie.
In addition to his ongoing duties as the MP for Sault Ste. Marie, he has, most recently, worked as Co-Chair of the Parliamentary All-Party Steel Caucus; a Member of the Standing Parliamentary Committee on International Trade and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages (FedNor).
Mr. Sheehan is happily married to his wife Lisa with whom he shares 2 children.
